Driven by the idea of using the economic success of WiCAM GmbH to help shape the software world of tomorrow in the long term, he decreed that, upon his death, part of WiCAM GmbH should be transferred to a foundation for the promotion and research of software.

As the first employee of the company, Mr. Timo Eigenblut started his career at WiCAM in the early 90s. Together with Mr. Wilkesmann he laid the foundation for the current success of the company. Over the years, the company expanded and Mr. Eigenblut took over the responsibility for the operational business as well as the development of today's subsidiaries already in 2007.

In 1986 Mr. Harald Wilkesmann founded WiCAM GmbH, at the beginning he programmed machines of single machine building companies. Soon word got around that there was someone who could control entire machine parks error-free and at lightning speed - more and more companies were looking for just such a solution - a programming system for different machine manufacturers.

WiCAM is today, after decades of continuous evolution, the technological leader in highly efficient automation software in CAD/CAM and nesting for the industry!

The PN4000 from WiCAM is the CAD/CAM system which was developed by our founder Harald Wilkesmann. This programming system enables companies to program their entire CNC cutting, punching, bending and portal milling machine park under PPS/ERP control.

After more than 35 years, WiCAM’s programming system is the linchpin for automated production around the globe in all well-known corporations such as Siemens, Liebherr, Miele, Otis and co.
